Very Fine Middle Eastern Pair of Flintlock Pistols (AH8256)

Made circa 1800. 60 caliber with 12” barrels. This are well above average pair of flintlocks made for the middle eastern market using what appears to be European locks and barrels. The barrels are engraved and have two shamshir style swords on top of each barrel. Each barrel has incised engraving and deeper chiseling . The muzzles have a silver for end cap that also serves as a barrel attachment. The stocks are nicely high relief carves with scroll designs and checkered as well. The butt caps have the long ears and are Italian in style with high relief faces . Very fine Flintlock pair!
