Very fine Martial Henry rifle identified to a soldier. This very fine rifle was issued to William McWilliams of the 10th Penn. Infantry Reserve and later the 3rd Veteran Volunteers. McWilliams enlisted in July of 1861 and finally mustered out in March of 1866. During his service in the Veteran Volunteers, Mc Williams was court marshaled for cursing at an officer. Extensive research has been conducted and comes with this gun. The barrel of the gun has a smooth blue brown patina with good blue in the protected areas. The brass is excellent and has a light mustard color patina. The stock shows minor handling marks but is in overall very good condition and it still has the Henry bump present, though it is somewhat worn. All parts that should be numbered are numbered and are matching. Very fine Henry with good Civil War history.
