Early Flintlock circa 1680. 56 caliber with a 13” barrel. This is a very elegant Italian horseman’s pistol. The barrel is period finished. The lock is an early banana shaped flat lock and cock finished in the white. The stocks are fruitwood and elegantly carved. All of the mounts are silver. The right hand side of the ears of the butt cap have two small breaks. The butt cap has a classical portrait of a face. Very fine quality flintlock pistol that is a quality made piece!
