Serial number 39927, made in December 1940, 12 gauge with a 26-inch round barrel with Improved Cylinder choke. Bore is bright and finish across the metal parts is in very good condition although the receiver appears to have been refinished. This is a U.S. martially marked shotgun with a flaming bomb acceptance stamp on the left side of the receiver as well as the initials “R.L.B.” for Lt. Colonel Roy L. Bowlin, Chief Inspector of the Rochester Ordnance District until 1942. Wooden buttstock and forend are matching in both color and quality. Action functions like it should.
