USGI Remington M1903A3 rifle .30-06 (L2026-01007)

Serial number 4197330. Made in September 1943 with a 24-inch barrel that has a bright bore with strong visible rifling. This Remington 03A3 is in especially good condition with a dull military phosphate over the barrel & receiver & bluing on the bolt, adjustable rear sight assembly & front band/bayonet lug. The walnut furniture reveals a few dings & dents from handling but it is otherwise sound & attractive with a Frank J. Atwood inspection cartouche on the left side beneath the striker next to a faint ordnance escutcheon. There is also an unboxed Raritan Arsenal rebuild mark below the ordnance escutcheon & an unboxed Ogden Arsenal rebuild mark 7 inches behind that. Comes with a front sight hood & a new production M1907 style leather sling.
