USGI International Harvester M1 Garand rifle .30-06 (L2025-13623)

Serial Number 5151515. Made in 1955 with a 24-inch barrel that has a bright bore with strong visible rifling. This "postage stamp" IHC Garand is equipped with the following Winchester parts: bolt, milled trigger guard, trigger group, hammer & radius cut operating rod. It comes with a a single slot/solid gas cylinder lock screw, the Type 3 lockbar rear sight assembly & a front sight assembly with wide ears. The finish on the metallic parts is a mix of several shades of dull gray/green phosphate & what appears to be a black oxide finish like Du-Lite on the receiver. The U.S. Defense Department Acceptance Stamp marked butt stock is in excellent condition with only light handling wear & the handguards match in both color & condition. Comes with an M1907 leather sling.
