Serial no. 922408. Manufactured in August 1918 by Eddystone Rifle Plant, chambered in .30-06 Springfield,26" round barrel marked “E/Flaming Bomb/8-18.” The bore is bright and shiny with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. The rifle has been parkerized, indicating refurbishment for WWII service, a common update as these rifles were reissued during the early years of the Second World War. The Model 1917 was the primary U.S. service rifle of WWI and continued to see secondary use into WWII following arsenal overhaul. The stock is very good with minimal handling impressions noted. Overall, the rifle presents very well with a clean, uniform appearance. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
