Serial No. 177217(STAR), made in 1882, .45-70, 22” round proofed barrel. Bore shows scattered oxidation with rifling visible. Metal parts have turned to a brown/grey patina. Rear sight is a 1st type 1879 buckhorn sight marked “C”. Traces of case coloring are present inside the breech block. Stock is marked with “SWP/1881” cartouche. The wrist has noticeable repairs visible. Action functions correctly.
