NSN, circa 1865, .58RF, 37.5" round barrel. Overall very good plus condition, barrel is in the bright with minor pin-prick surface oxidation noted. Breech, hammer and lock plate are a light grey patina, lock is dated 1863. Bore has strong rifling with areas of frosting noted in the grooves. Stock is good with very minor blemishes. Only 5000 of these models are manufactured after the Civil War.
