U.S. Springfield M1D Garand Sniper Rifle, .30-06 (R45219) CONSIGNMENT

Serial No. 49635, manufactured July 1940. Chambered in .30-06 with a 24” round barrel dated 8-52. Retains approximately 95% finish on the barrel and receiver. Rifle is fitted with a rare M81 scope, originally intended for M1C sniper rifles used during WWII and Korea, and issued as a limited standard replacement for the M1D. Optic glass remains clear. Cheek rest is marked “MRT/3-69”.Bolt is marked “D28287-12SA / S-060”, receiver marked “C11C / A” and “D28291-2”. Op-rod has been properly modified and is marked “D35382-6-SA”. Trigger group is correctly marked “SA”. Stock is in very good condition with light handling wear. Action is smooth and functions properly. A desirable M1D sniper configuration with a seldom-seen M81 scope and proper U.S.G.I. components. CONSIGNMENT
