Serial no. 5301025. Manufactured circa 1954–1955 by Springfield Armory, chambered in .30-06 Springfield,24" round barrel marked “SA 6535448 2-65 Y7G P M DOD Eagle.”
The bore is bright and shiny with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. The operating rod has been cut and is marked “D-6635362 IHC,” while the bolt is stamped “D28287-19SA/A-9.” The receiver shows markings “A5 5C/F 6528291” and is further stamped “RRAD/8-65,” indicating overhaul at Red River Army Depot in August 1965, one of the later arsenal rebuild programs for the M1 Garand. The trigger assembly is a mix of Winchester and Springfield Armory components, consistent with arsenal refurbishment practices. The stock is very good, featuring double “P” proof stamps and minimal handling impressions. This rifle represents a classic post-war rebuilt Garand incorporating a mix of U.S.G.I. parts from multiple manufacturers. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
