U.S. Model 1903 Rifle with Malcolm-USMC Scope (R29987)

This fine 30-06 caliber Springfield Armory Model 1903 rifle is a recreation of the USMC Springfield Model 1903A1 Sniper rifle with the 8X Unertl USMC sniper scope. The 1-21 dated barrel has an excellent bore with bright, strong rifling. The gun has approx. 98% of its original parkerized finish. THe S style stock and handguard are excellent with no cracks or chips. The firing proof circled P at the rear of the trigger guard and the boxed W.J.S. final inspection stamp on the left above the trigger guard are strong. An original cleaning kit is in the butt trap. The stacking swivel and sling swivels are present. The modern scope, which is a recreation of the USMC WWII Unertl scope, is marked Wm. Malcolm over USMC-SNIPER over 00253. The action functions correctly. If you want a WWII USMC sniper rifle, this recreation costs less than half an original example.
