U.S.Model 1842 Percussion Navy .54 caliber pistol by N.P. Ames and dated 1845. Approximately 2000 guns made by Ames. Two stock cartoushes are on the left side of the stock. Stock is in near excellent condition. The 1845 dated guns are hard to find as fewer were made in comparison with other dates. (The exception being 1842 date of which only 300 were made. Gun is very good plus overall and handsome.
