U.S Model 1836 Flintlock pistol. Made by R. Johnson of Middletown Conn. .54 caliber, U.S Army issue. Lock is dated 1841. These were standard issue pistols in the Mexican War and saw Civil War service as converted percussions. This pistol is in excellent to mint condition. Finished “In the white” the stock cartouches are perfect. Action works perfectly. The stock has some very small nicks from handling. There is some dried-up grease in some areas. Top notch condition.
