U.S. Cavalry Officers Saber. Circa 1820-1840. Scabbard is marked Gen. Owen (we are not sure who he is). Blade is approximately 29” with fire blue finish, floral motifs, and panopolys of arms. Pommel has an eagle holding a shield. Ivory grip. Quillion is fancy. Langets have oak leaves and acorns with decorations in center. Scabbard has floral motifs with a Federal eagle. A handsome Saber!
