Serial No. 70104, manufactured in 1880 at Manufacture d’Armes de Saint-Étienne, chambered in 11mm Gras with a 27¾" round barrel. The bore is very good, showing light frosting in the grooves with strong, well-defined rifling remaining. Serial numbers are matching throughout. Metal surfaces have aged to a smooth brown/grey patina, and the stock shows only light handling wear consistent with age and service. Overall condition is honest and well preserved for a 19th-century French service rifle. Action functions correctly.
