Serial number 3472745. This rifle's receiver was made by Springfield in January 1945 & it is paired with a January 1963 dated 24-inch Springfield Armory barrel that has a bright bore with strong visible rifling. It is equipped with the T105E1 adjustable rear sight assembly, a radius cut Springfield operating rod, an HRA bolt, an IHC trigger assembly, a high hump gas cylinder lock & a poppet valve gas cylinder lock screw. The wood furniture was not produced during World War II, but it is nevertheless USGI & that is why there is a square non-serif P proof mark on the pistol grip. Condition overall is very good with a dull gray phosphate across the metallic parts that has oxidized a little on the very top of the rear sight assembly. The mixed manufacturers suggests that this rifle came from the CMP but it is nevertheless a good example of the M1 that would make an excellent shooter.
