SN: 1936782. Semi-automatic military rifle manufactured by Springfield Armory in late 1943. Standard 24" barrel chambered for .30-06. Good condition overall with post-war arsenal refinish and typical handling marks for an issued service rifle. Springfield barrel is dated April of 1950. Post-war type rear sight. Forward portion of handguard is a replacement, likely Korean War-era, with some chips and a small crack at the top front. Buttstock is painted black with Korean unit and rack numbers, along with the pistol grip rack number 172. Bore is bright with good rifling.
