Serial No. 8609k3, manufactured circa late 1920s, chambered in 8mm Mauser, with a 23.5-inch round barrel. Originally produced by Československá Zbrojovka Brno, this rifle was among the Czech VZ-24s later supplied by the Soviet Union to the Spanish Republic during the Spanish Civil War (1936–1939).Metal finish shows thinning of the factory blue with light scattered wear consistent with service use. All serial numbers are matching, and the receiver markings remain strong and legible. The K3 suffix and stippled acceptance marks are characteristic of rifles inspected for export or secondary issue during wartime redistribution. The walnut stock displays an arsenal repair beneath the receiver and handguard on the right side, typical of field maintenance performed during the conflict. Action is smooth and functions correctly. This example represents one of the many Czech VZ-24 rifles that saw extensive service in Spain before later circulation through European and Soviet surplus channels.
