SN: A723037. 1980's vintage 9mm with a 3.25" barrel. Rare and desirable ASP conversion of a full size S&W 439 pistol into a custom compact carry gun. One of the first subcompact pistols ever made, the ASP was extensively customized and had many special features that put it ahead of its time. This special edition ASP is part of the "Quest For Excellence" limited series of which only 100 were produced, and this is the rarely encountered complete set. The gun is marked “The Quest for Excellence/ 025 of 100”. The grips are buffalo horn with transparent windows which match up with cutouts in the magazine. The pistol is cased in a book style presentation case which also holds a custom knife made and numbered for this edition. Also included are a pistol sleeve marked with the logo which holds an extra 2 magazines, a sheath for the knife made by Ken Null, and an ASP manual. This is #25 of 100 and remains in excellent condition overall. This is a rare special edition version of an already very rare pistol.
