Smith & Wesson 2nd Model Hand Ejector .45 ACP (L2025-12981)

Serial number 169496. Made in 1918 with a 5.5-inch round barrel that has a bright bore with strong visible rifling. This is a civilian commercial production 2nd Model Hand Eject in .45 ACP just like the USGI S&W Model 1917 revolvers, but it does not have the conventional U.S. Army designation on the butt. It does however have a Springfield Armory S2 "eagle's head" acceptance stamp under the crane/yoke, suggesting the possibility that it was issued to the military. It also has a lanyard loop on the butt. Condition overall is very good with original factory bluing across the metallic parts although some minor holster wear can be observed. Comes with checkered medallion grips.
