NSN, circa 18th century, .62 caliber, 43 ¼” round Turkish Damascus-pattern barrel with a smooth brown finish. Gold damascening is present at the breech, mid-barrel, and muzzle. Lock plate is marked “CLARK,” a known maker of Brown Bess muskets from 1777–1785. The butt plate is stamped “H.A.C.” indicating issue to the Honorable Artillery Company, and the trigger guard is marked “SW/15,” referencing a specific unit or rack number, likely linked to volunteer forces during the Napoleonic Wars. The stock has been modified to a half-stock configuration and shows minor surface handling marks. Action holds at half and full cock.
