Serial No. 4442350, made late 1943, .30 Carbine, 18” round barrel marked “UNDERWOOD / 1-44 / Flaming Bomb. This carbine features a receiver manufactured by Union Switch & Signal, one of the rarest subcontractors in the M1 Carbine program, producing approximately 29,000 receivers under the designation “UN-QUALITY” for Quality Hardware. Upgrades include a Type III adjustable rear sight marked “I.R.C.O.” and a barrel band marked “KV-B”, The push-button safety remains in place, retaining an early production feature. The high wood stock is in very good condition, showing light handling impressions, and the sling well is marked “0210/6. Action is smooth and functions correctly. Rifle comes with its CMP box and paperwork. A rare and highly collectible WWII M1 Carbine. Consignment
