Serial number 330811. Made in 1914. 45 LC with a 4 ¾” barrel. This is a nice sharp gun with traces of finish in protected areas. The grips are slightly oversized and not to this gun, but original grips nonetheless. There is a sliver missing on the left hand inside of the grip. This is a scarce and desirable variation as it is a “long flute” These were guns made between 1913 and 1915 here left over Colt 1878 cylinders were used in Colt Single Action Armies. A total of 1478 were made like this and only 579 were made in 1914 like this gun. This gun comes with a factory letter confirming the configuration including the “long Flute”
