Serial no. 19792 (importer). Manufactured in 1948 at Izhevsk Arsenal, chambered in 7.62x54R, 20.4" round barrel. Bore is bright with strong, well-defined rifling noted. The carbine remains in overall excellent condition, retaining its arsenal-rebuilt blued finish across the metal components. The Arctic birch stock displays moderate handling and usage impressions while retaining an attractive military appearance. This post-war example retains the distinctive 12" side-folding cruciform spike bayonet characteristic of the M44 configuration. Action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
