Made circa 1750s. Huge 1 1/16” bore with a 24” barrel. This gun has a lock marked Barnett. Most of the components have been repurposed from commercial British guns. The stock was American made. This gun was found in the Lake Champlain, Ny. This area was one of the most fought after places on the earth during the 18th century. This gun was displayed since 1992 iat the Thomas Clarke House in Princeton Battlefield State Park. This gun was also in an issue of the Gun report titled “Colonial Firearms Displayed at the Princeton Battlefield. This gun was also in the collection of Bill Ahearn. The author of Muskets of the Revolution.
