SN: 18579. 1960's vintage .222 Rem with a 22" heavy barrel. Crudely made bolt action target rifle, supposedly a prototype for the 40X made by a Remington employee. The metal is bare and the action has a shroud over it, which is inscribed "Mod 40X Rem Serial Number 18579". The bench rest stock is in very good condition. Comes with a Lyman Super Target Spot scope. Scope is broken. The crosshair is broken but it can be repaired. Overall condition is good. An unusual gun with an unusual story. (CONSIGNMENT)
