Rat Worx “Gas Trap” Springfield Armory, Inc. M1 rifle .30-06 (R43884)

Serial No. 442, circa 1980’s-1990’s, .30-06, 24” round barrel. Bore is bright and shiny with strong rifling visible. This M1 was assembled using a Springfield Armory, Inc. receiver and USGI parts that include a D35382 SA operating rod, a D28287-19SA A-5 bolt, the Type III lockbar rear sight assembly, trigger group and wood furniture. 24-inch Springfield barrel dated January 1966 and marked with the words “Geneseo, Illinois” as well as a National Defense Acceptance Stamp. Bright bore reveals strong visible rifling. This rifle is equipped with a Rat Worx “Gas Trap” reproduction gas cylinder that presents the general appearance of a Type 1 D28289 Gas Cylinder even though the rifle operates through the use of a gas port.
