Rare WWII Japanese Kokura Arsenal Type 97 Sniper Rifle with 2.5x Scope 6.5x50mm (L2026-10828)

Serial no. 6621. Manufactured circa the late 1930s at Kokura Arsenal, chambered in 6.5x50mm Japanese, 31" round barrel. Bore is very good with handsome, strong rifling noted. Serial numbers are matching throughout the rifle, while the dust cover and scope are non-matching. Most importantly, the Imperial chrysanthemum (“mum”) remains fully intact on the receiver. The stock remains in very good condition with only minimal handling and service impressions noted. The rifle is accompanied by its Japanese 2.5-power sniper scope, marked “2.5x10 / ★ / No.12417.” The optic is particularly well preserved, with clear glass and a strong, clearly visible reticle.
