Rare Sharps 1874 military rifle. Only 1769 made. Serial number CL173 (150173). Note: The “CL” prefix continues from the 1869 model Sharps. The early 1874 Sharps guns will have the “CL” prefix and only the first 200 to 300 guns will have the “CL” prefix. Has the earliest barrel address. Gun is very good with excellent markings and a fine smooth patina. Stock is very good with numerous nicks and dings but no cracks, splits or splinters. Excellent bore. This is an early and unusually low serial numbered 1874! Rare early gun!
