Serial No. 62232, manufactured in 1933, 8mm, 24½” round barrel. An exceptionally scarce early Nazi-era private purchase Mauser Banner rifle, this example retains 85–90% of its original blue finish, showing minor thinning in scattered areas. The receiver is crisply marked with the Mauser Banner logo over “1933”, with all factory stampings remaining sharp and distinct. The stock bears the “SA” cartouche beneath “Niedersachsen”, denoting issue to the Sturmabteilung (SA) of Lower Saxony — a regional paramilitary unit that acquired limited numbers of these rifles for use prior to standardization under the Wehrmacht. The stock shows light handling impressions consistent with careful use. Action is smooth and functions correctly. Rifle comes complete with its original sling. A rare and historically important prewar Mauser, representing one of the few documented SA-purchased Banner rifles tied directly to the early Nazi period.
