Rare Confederate Texas Made Dance Army Dragoon (79135)

Serial number 91. Made in 1862 - 1863. This gun is in 44 caliber with a barrel just over 7.75" long. Dance Revolvers are few and far between. The discovery of this gun make the total number known to 104. William Albaugh has this gun listed in his notes, but no one has seen the gun and it has never been published. It came out of the same collection Albaugh has listed in his notes.  This gun is 100% completely original and is a very sharp example. This is part of the early production that made in East Columbia. This gun falls in the range that was delivered to Captain Finly for Captain Sutton's company commanding Graham's Rangers. The Graham's rangers were a Texas Cavalry unit. This gun is in well above average condition. These early guns have casting issues which you can see on both the left and right hand side of the frame. This can also be seen on the left hand side of the barrel. This is a very sharp gun. All of the serial numbers are visible. The grips are very fine and are numbered to the gun. This is an exceptional Dance!
