NSN. Made in 1841. 54 caliber with 54 caliber with an 8” barrel. The barrel has been cleaned and has a light gray patina. This gun is made by Johnson and is dated 1841. The stock is most interesting as it has a checkered grip and stock forward of the barrel band. The trigger guard and back strap are both period engraved. The back strap has the initials “D.G.M.” Very fine example!
