Pre-89 Valmet M76 rifle 5.56×45mm (L2025-13215)

Serial Number 157831. Made in Finland in 1983 with a 16.5-inch barrel that has a bright bore with strong visible rifling. Although it is effectively just a Kalashnikov chambered for .223 REM, the Finns brought significant gunmaking expertise to the table when they created this design with the result that the M76 is known for being an exceptionally well built rifle. This highly desirable example features a folding steel tube stock, flip deployable front & rear night sights, polymer handguard & a paddle magazine release with a tab for actuation using the right index finger. The Valmet M76 was featured in the Robin Williams movie "The Survivors" (1983). This example is in excellent condition overall & comes with one factory 30-round steel magazine, five converted 40-round HK33 magazines & one Tapco "Intrafuse" 30-round polymer magazine that actually works great in the gun.
