Pre-89 FN FAL rifle 7.62×51mm (L2025-13214)

Serial Number 2507285. Made in Belgium in 1984 with a 21-inch barrel that has a bright bore with strong visible rifling. This is a semi-automatic version of the Model 50.61 FN FAL "para folder" battle rifle that is built on a Type 3 receiver. It was imported by GunSouth of Trussville, Alabama in cooperation with Steyr in Secaucus, New Jersey during the years that preceded the 1989 Import Ban. The rifle is in exceptional condition with no visible wear on the internal fire control components & a gas piston that shows no carbon accumulation, suggesting that the rifle has only been factory fired. The plastic handguards show some limited handling marks, but otherwise the rifle looks like it did when it was unpacked in Alabama back in the 80s. Comes with bayonet & plastic scabbard, an FN 4x28mm telescopic sight & a metric 20-round detachable box magazine.
