Post-War Russian M44 Carbine – 7.62x54R (L2025-12628)

Serial No. 004705 (Importer), manufactured in 1948, 7.62x54R, 20½” round barrel. Rifle remains in excellent overall condition, with both metal finish and stock rating 95–98%. Serial numbers have been arsenal matched using an electric pencil, a common postwar Soviet refurbishment practice. The bayonet has been removed, leaving the rifle in a clean, carbine configuration. Stock displays minimal handling impressions and retains strong grain and color. Factory markings remain sharp and legible. Action is smooth and functions correctly. A fine example of a postwar Soviet M44, representing the final evolution of the Mosin-Nagant series before Cold War production ceased.
