Serial No. 5614118, manufactured 1954–1956, chambered in .30-06, with a 24” round barrel marked “LMR D6535448 2 55 A4O”. Barrel is manufactured by Line Material Corporation (LMR), a subcontractor located in Birmingham, Alabama. LMR barrels were produced to U.S. government specifications and are highly regarded for their consistent quality during the post-war rebuild and production period. The “2 55” marking indicates a manufacture date of February 1955. Bolt is marked “6528287 HRA/U”, receiver is marked “C/6528291”, and the cut op-rod is marked “6535382 W.R.A.” Trigger group is HRA marked. Rifle retains approximately 95% of its original finish. Bore is excellent, showing sharp and clean rifling. Stock shows light surface impressions with a visible DOD cartouche on the right side. Action is smooth and functions correctly. Rifle is accompanied by a U.S. M5A1 bayonet manufactured by MILPAR COL and includes a TWB scabbard.
