Plainfield M1 Carbine .30 Carbine (L2026-04919)

Serial no. 57105. Manufactured circa the late 1960s by Plainfield Machine Company, chambered in .30 Carbine, 18" round barrel. Bore is bright and shiny with strong, well-defined rifling noted. The low-wood stock has had a light varnish applied and remains in overall very good condition with minimal handling wear. Plainfield was one of the better-known commercial manufacturers of post-war M1 Carbine-pattern rifles, with many examples incorporating a mixture of commercial and military-surplus components. A handsome commercial M1 Carbine retaining the familiar handling characteristics of the original military design. Comes complete with oiler and sling. Action is smooth and functions correctly.
