Philippine Colt 1877 Thunderer (C19883)

Serial number 130855. Made in 1902. 41 Colt caliber with a 6” barrel. This gun is in very fine condition with 65% of the original blue finish. The case colors rate at approximately 50% . The grips are excellent. This is a very interesting gun as it comes with a factory letter that confirms the configuration and the shipping address which is to E. G. Shields / Insular Purchasing Agent in Manila, Philippines Islands. This is one of 600 guns that was shipped to the Philippines during the transition period of the administration from the US Army to Civilian authorities. These guns remained in service for several years. Only a few of these guns are known here in the USA. This gun comes with a letter from noted Colt expert Don Wilkerson explaining this gun.
