NSN, circa 1860–1870s, .62 caliber, 35 ¾” octagonal barrel with a slightly swamped muzzle end. Barrel is a grey patina with mottled brown areas visible. Secured with four silver barrel bands and one front metal band. Lock plate is unmarked and follows the Enfield pattern. Stock shows light impression marks with old repairs noted. Right side of the stock features a unique patch box. Action holds at half and full cock.
