Persian Mauser rifle 7.92×57mm (L2025-14990)

Serial number C01928. Made in Czechoslovakia during the 1930s by Zbrojovka Brno for Persia's Pahlavi dynasty. Rifle is all-matching & has a 29.5-inch barrel that has a bright bore with strong visible rifling. Condition overall is excellent with original factory blued finish across the metallic parts except for the bolt & 15.75-inch cleaning rod, which are in the white. The birch hardwood furniture is in great shape but there are some dings & dents that are consistent with military service. This is an exceptional example of the Persian M98/29 Mauser rifle that reveals the superior quality of Czech gunmaking craftsmanship during the interwar years.
