NSN, circa 19th century, .65 caliber, 44” round barrel with faint proof marks. This musket remains in untouched condition, showing its age and original character. The barrel is secured with seven brass barrel bands and two additional metal bands. The side plates, which wrap around the wood near the breech and extend approximately 18” from the lock plate, are engraved with a simple linear pattern. The battery, battery arm, and mainspring are missing. The stock shows expected wear, with brass sheet inlays at the butt end showing damage and loss. Action does not function correctly.
