Serial number 340632. Made in 1938. 38 Special with a 6” barrel. This gun is in like new condition and it is all original. This gun has 100% of the original blue. The grips are like new and all of the checkering is perfectly sharp. This gun comes with the original box. Also accompanied by the accoutrements including  the original target.  This gun has a factory letter. This gun was in a shipment of one and was sold to Colt tool room employee Charles E. Pratt on June 25 1938. Mr. Pratt apparently sold this gun to a Mr. Dana Lawrence who had been married to the heiress of the Bostich Staple company and it was passed through the family as evidenced by a hand written letter dated 1981.  It may have never been shot. This is an exceptional example of a Shooting Master!
