Mauser 1924 .257 Roberts Custom Sporter. Outstanding custom full stock “Mannlicher” style carbine made by well-known German gunmakers Waffen Reich in Darmstadt, built on a Standard Modell Mauser rifle. The gun is heavily and ornately customized. The bolt handle is oak leaf engraved and checkered, while the bolt and bolt release are jeweled. The floor plate is oak leaf engraved with a silver stag inlay. The stock is elaborately carved with oak leaves and has a carved game scene on the buttstock. A German made Pecar 3x7 scope is mounted on claw mounts, with excellent optics. Overall condition is excellent, as is the bore. A gorgeous example of old world German artistry.
