Serial No. B2681, made circa 1895–1896, 7x57mm, 22” round barrel. Metal surfaces have thinned to a smooth grey patina from age and service. Serial numbers are matching on major components, though the stock has been force-matched, a common practice during arsenal maintenance. Stock shows light handling wear but remains solid with good fit. Action is smooth and functions correctly. Manufactured by Loewe of Berlin under contract for the Chilean military.
