Serial No. 6699257, manufactured December 1944, chambered in .30 Carbine, featuring an 18” round barrel marked: “INLAND MFG. DIV./GENERAL MOTORS/12-44”. This carbine remains in its original late-war configuration, not an arsenal rebuild. It features a Type III barrel band correctly marked “SI”, a flat bolt, and a Type II milled adjustable rear sight marked “PI”. The low wood stock bears a visible Ordnance cartouche, and the sling well is marked “IO”, consistent with late Inland production. Stock shows expected handling marks from service but remains structurally sound. Action is smooth and functions correctly. A fine, representative example of a late-production WWII Inland M1 Carbine, assembled just months before the end of the war.
