Serial no. 62125. Manufactured in October 1944 under Nagoya Arsenal supervision, chambered in 8mm Nambu, 4" round barrel. Bore is bright with strong, well-defined rifling noted. Magazine is matching, and the pistol retains the characteristically rough late-war finish associated with declining Japanese production standards as speed and quantity increasingly took priority over fit and finish. Pistol is fitted with the distinctive late-war slab-style wooden grips. Of particular interest is the documented provenance: the pistol comes with a letter from the son of U.S. Army Major Emile Courreges, stating that his father received the pistol in the Philippines when Japanese officers surrendered their unit. This documented surrender history adds considerable interest to an already desirable late-war Type 94. Comes complete with holster, second matching magazine, cleaning rod, and provenance letter. Action is smooth and functions correctly.
