Serial No. 211325 (matching blade and scabbard) This is a late-war production Type 95 Japanese NCO Shin-Gunto sword, manufactured by Nagoya Arsenal, as evidenced by the serial number being oriented with the cutting edge up, a hallmark of their production style during the final phase of World War II. The sword features a 27 ½” machine-made blade that remains mostly bright, with areas of light grey spotting and discoloration, consistent with field use and age. The wooden cross-hatched grip, a distinctive characteristic of the "last-ditch" late-war variant, is in very good condition, showing minimal wear and retaining its shape and definition. The pommel, tsuba (guard), and fuchi (collar) are all factory-painted black, another attribute typical of late-production swords as materials and finish quality were simplified to meet wartime production demands. Notably, no inspection stamps are present, which is also consistent with the rushed manufacturing standards near the end of the war. The accompanying steel scabbard retains the majority of its original olive-brown paint, with only light handling wear visible
