Japanese Koishikawa Arsenal Series 26 Type 38 Bolt Action Rifle with Bayonet 6.5x50mm (L2026-09638)

Serial no. 15629. Manufactured circa the 1930s by Koishikawa Arsenal, Series 26, chambered in 6.5x50mm Arisaka, 31" round barrel. Bore is good with strong, well-defined rifling noted. The bolt is matching to the rifle. Both the rifle and bayonet have been refinished. Included is a Type 30 bayonet manufactured by an unknown maker under Kokura Arsenal supervision. The Type 38 was Japan's standard service rifle for decades and earned a reputation for its exceptional strength, reliability, and accuracy. Action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
