Japanese Ko-Tantō in Shira Saya (12348073)(dtx)

A very small ko-tantō with a blade length of 5 3/8 inches, in plain shira saya storage mounts. The blade is hira-zukuri in form with a small, neat kissaki and a single mekugi-ana. It is unsigned (mumei) and fitted with a simple copper habaki.  The surface shows scratches and cloudiness from age and an old polish, with the hamon obscured but likely visible under restoration.
